BAY CITY — The Ultimate Championship Wrestling championship committee has officially announced a triple threat match to determine the number one contender to face the UCW Light Heavyweight Champion at UCW Back to School — Old School on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from the Prime Event Center in Bay City, Michigan.
This triple threat match will feature three of the top light heavyweight wrestlers in the region: Phil Atlas, Sheldon Jean, and El Reverso.

BAY CITY, Michigan — Ultimate Championship Wrestling (UCW) will be kicking off the fall season by returning to the Prime Event Center on Saturday, September 16, 2017 with a 7:30 p.m. bell time.
UCW Back to School — Old School will feature Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart and legend The Brooklyn Brawler.
Jimmy Hart is a legend who started his entertainment career as a member of popular rock band “The Gentrys” who are famous for their hit “Keep On Dancing.” He was later brought into Memphis Wrestling and was involved in feuds featuring Jerry “The King” Lawler and TV star Andy Kaufman. Later, Hart moved to WWE where he managed the likes of champions The Hart Foundation, The Honky Tonk Man, The Natural Disasters, The Nasty Boys, Money Incorporated, and Hulk Hogan. He has also been awarded the Pro Wrestling Illustrated “Manager of the Year” two times.
The Brooklyn Brawler began his WWE career in 1983. He has performed with the likes of The Iron Sheik, Big John Studd, Paul Orndorff, and Hulk Hogan. Brawler appeared at WrestleMania V as his manager Bobby “The Brain” Heenan took on The Red Rooster. Later in his career, Brawler moved into a production capacity working wit WWE talent on backstage pre-taped promotional videos.
Back To School — Old School also features Jon Bolen, A1, Phil Atlas, John E. Bravo, The Soul Taker, and Ingrid Isley. Jon Bolen won TNA’s Gut Check in 2004. Bolen will form a tag team with former TNA performer A1, founding member of “Team Canada.” Phil Atlas returns to UCW after a tour of the NOAH promotion in Japan.

Ultimate Championship Wrestling owner Brian Maday said “this year’s date offer more than the live professional wrestling events that Ultimate Championship Wrestling has become known for. UCW will also be offering a very special BBQ event for VIP ticket holders on Saturday, May 21.”
Maday continued “on Sunday July 17, UCW will be showcasing once again the tight connection with the community of Bay City by embracing the Tall Ships Celebration weekend with a very special bell time of 5 p.m. Our other events nicely round out our 2016 calendar. Kevin Nash Headlines Landmark Event
Bay City, Michigan – Ultimate Championship Wrestling (UCW) will be celebrating 14 years in the Bay City area on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 7 pm as it presents another live event from the Prime Event Center. The show will be headlined by Kevin Nash and Nick Dinsmore.
The 14th Anniversary event will feature WWE Hall of Famer, Kevin Nash. Nash is a Michigan native who has performed around the world. He has held world championships in both WWE and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Nash was a key and controversial figure during the “Monday Night War” as a founding member of the wrestling faction, New World Order (nWo) in WCW.
Nick Dinsmore is a very technically sound wrestler who has performed in Ohio Valley Wrestling and World Championship Wrestling. His most notable run was in WWE where he performed from 2004-2007. He then went on to work as a coach for WWE’s developmental system, NXT. Today he still captivates fans and operates his own wrestling training facility.
“We are very proud to be a part of the Bay City community since our first event in 2002,” said Brian Maday, UCW Owner. Maday continues “14 years is a landmark achievement, and we have a lot more surprises in store as we move forward. We are thrilled to have Kevin Nash, Nick Dinsmore, and all of the regional talents perform on this event. But, we wouldn’t be able to do it without our regional talent and our fans here in the Bay City area.”
The event will also feature Danny Shay vs. Krimson for the UCW Heavyweight Championship. Black Bushido will be pitted against N8 Mattson for the UCW Midwest Championship in a Ladder Match. The event will also feature Kelly Klein vs. Ingrid Isley vs. Dominque Fabiano in a Women’s Triple Threat Match. Also scheduled to appear, John E. Bravo, Big Chuck Wagon, T.K. Parker, and many more.
